Trimble Webmap provides access to spatial and business data via a configurable and interactive web-based application which can be shared by user groups in any organization. A number of pre-configured presentation themes can be defined to meet diverse needs.
The ribbon-based user interface design provides a modern application look and feel, which combined with a collapsible map legend helps the users optimize the available screen space. The application provides generic and specific tools for searching and geo-locating customers, spatial features, geocodable street addresses, street intersections and latitude/longitude points. It enables tools for creating and saving map redlines, viewing location of outage-related information (customer calls, affected customers, planned and unplanned interruptions), viewing crew locations, viewing integrated maintenance information and accessing integrated linked attachments. |
Trimble Webmap – Key Benefits
A configurable map legend provides logical grouping of map layers and allows each user to turn on and off various map layers. Measuring distances and areas, printing large size drawings, creating .pdf maps, navigating to collection of bookmarks provide additional capabilities.
The application supports interaction with data from multiple utilities (e.g. electric, gas, telecom) overlaid in the same map layout or in separate layouts in order to meet the needs of various workflows. The map is rendering spatial data from the NIS desktop application and from external data sources. Various raster and vector datasets can be used as composite background maps. Built-in integration framework provides direct access to external and internal mapping web services (e.g. Bing, Esri ArcGIS Server) which can be consumed to display background maps.
